3rd Day Travel - Life in Valley of Lauterbrunnen

Awaken by the bell of church, and walk out to the balcony, we can breath the cool freshly air and hear the metal bell sound by the cattle sheeps. For sure, Lauterbrunnen is the "Western Haven".

We took the bus toward Trümmelbach Falls first.  There are total 10 falls in the area. By taking the tunnel lift we can reach the topest fall. The tunnel lift, actually a funicular with counterweight, was constructed in 1913. The difference in height between the top fall and the lowest is about 150m.

Here we got a ride of an aerial tramway toward a village sitting on the valley top, Gimmelwald. Another aerial tramway brought us to a larger village, Murren. We have a fine lunch here. The mountain draft beer is excellant.

Great mussel ! Juicy and full of white wine creamy sauce.

This restaurant, called "Brasserie LIPP" is a rather formal french style restaurant. The interior and service were excellant. However, as usual and as we expected, the quality of food is not good.

Geneve is the border toward France. We can see SNCF in Geneve Station. This "TER", will now bring us toward the Southern France, Provence !
